SAOGE 2010 OPENS WITH JEROEN VAN DER VEER
The 3rd Saudi Arabia International Oil and Gas Exhibition (SAOGE) under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdul Aziz, Emir of the eastern region, was opened yesterday by Mr. Zareeb bin Saeed Al-Qahtani, Under-Secretary of the Eastern Province. This year SAOGE was marked as its largest ever with over 260 companies representing 34 countries from all over the world.
The opening was held with speeches from Jeroen van der Veer, former Chief Executive of Royal Dutch Shell and Lord Digby Jones Kt, former UK Minister of State for Trade & Investment, as well as James B Smith, US Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, US Embassy Riyadh and Roddy Drummond, Deputy Head of Mission, British Embassy, Riyadh.
